Ridgewood Teacher Retiring After 38 Years
David Jenkins is retiring at the end of the school year.
David Jenkins is calling it a career after spending nearly four decades in Ridgewood schools and on the links. An educator in Ridgewood for 38 years, Jenkins has taught at a number of schools during his lengthy career. (He even has his name etched in a door at The Glen School, Superintendent Dan Fishbein reported Monday night.) Jenkins currently teaches gym at Hawes Elementary School and has been the RHS boys varsity golf coach for 33 years. The educator's resignation, effective July 1, was accepted at the Dec. 18 school board meeting.
