Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce 27th annual holiday show begins Friday afternoon.
Thousands will be rocking around the holiday tree on Friday night for the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce's 27th annual Downtown for the Holidays. The annual tradition was back at the train station again Friday night
The perfect tree, a perfect evening and lots of people make Downtown for the Holidays a beloved Village tradition. A few thousand people watched great song and dance numbers performed by local dance studios and then the lighting of the tree. Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Joan Groome was again the emcee as the Mayor and council as well as members of the Chamber of Commerce began the countdown. The Youman family held the honor of lighting the tree; Tom Youman of Downes Tree Service cuts down, installs and decorates the Village Christmas Tree each year. Afterwards residents scuttled down Ridgewood Ave and enjoyed hot cocoa, listened to music performed by local musicians and enjoy shops that stay open late.
