GRHS Student Selected for Environmental Summit

Julia Rosenwald heading to 2012 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University for environmental leadership and conservation

A Glen Rock High School student has been selected to represent New Jersey as a delegate for a prestigious environmental summit over the summer. Julia Rosenwald will be heading to the 2012 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University, according to a joint press release by the university and organiztion. Rosenwald will join about 250 other students across the country to study leadership in environmental science and conservation. She was selected based on academic accomplishments, an interest in the sciences and conservation studies as well as leadership qualities. The week-long conference is held at George Mason University in Virginia from June 24-29. More information can be found at wyse.gmu.edu.
