One woman transported to the hospital after the Friday night accident.
One individual was transported to Valley Hospital after the driver of a Volvo rear-ended a UPS truck on Lincoln Avenue Friday night. Ridgewood police said a 70-year-old Fair Lawn woman did not see a UPS truck pulling out and struck the rear of the large truck. Road conditions were cited as playing a factor in the accident. The female passenger complained of pain and was transported to Valley Hospital. No other injuries were reported, nor were any summonses issued.
Several persons were taken to local hospitals between 1:30 and 2:30 Sunday afternoon in three separate car accidents
Emergency personnel had little rest Sunday afternoon, responding to three separate motor vehicle accidents in an hour. Police extricated a young woman on Garber Square after her red Honda Accord hit the median and flipped on the southbound side just after 1:30 p.m. Ridgewood Fire Department Cpt. Chris Dufloqc said the victim's injuries appeared minor and she was taken to Valley Hospital. Garber Square southbound was closed for approximately 45 minutes. Minutes later, EMS and police responders were summoned to Franklin Avenue near the intersection of Oak Street. A red sedan appeared to have rear-ended an SUV.
