Update at 5:30 p.m. Saturday: Pretty much the entire Ridgewood business district is open. Most Glen Rock businesses are as well.  Brutal winter weather has forced many business owners in Ridgewood and Glen Rock to close the doors. This list is by no means comprehensive, so please add to it by letting us know what you've checked out.  Closed Brick Lane Curry House – Closed Friday night, expected to open for dinner on Saturday night. Pearl Restaurant – Closed for Friday night but is expected open on Saturday. Rony's Rock Burger – Closed after lunch service on Friday; unclear if Rony will man the grill on Saturday. Rita's Snips and Pips – Closed on Saturday but will re-open on Sunday from 9 to 5. One Love Hot Yoga – Saturday's 8:30 and 10:15 …

Update at 12:45 p.m. Saturday: A ton of snow fell on Ridgewood and Glen Rock, but both appeared to have weathered the storm well. Early Dismissal for Ridgewood, Glen Rock Students on Friday

"Nemo" could drop as much as two feet of snow in the upcoming days.

A winter storm expected to make landfall early Friday morning has prompted administrators in Ridgewood and Glen Rock to dismiss students early on Friday. Borough schools will all open at normal times, according to a notification on the GRPS website. The middle and high school will dismiss students at 12:26 p.m. Elementary schools will let out at 12:33 p.m. All other activities, including childcare, will be canceled for the remainder of the day. In the village, high School students depart at 12:18 p.m. Kindergarten through fifth-grade students let out at 12:45 p.m. and middle school students will let out at 12:15 p.m. Lunch will not be provided for.
