'Kickflip Kid' Exhibits at Stable
Resident Zach Lear presents "Finding Faces" throughout February.
Through Zach Lear's young art career, he's spent a lot of time in barns. With numerous courses under his belt at the Ridgewood Art Institute, Lear presents his first solo exhibit at the Stable—both venues being renovated barns. The village resident exhibits "Finding Faces" at the Department of Parks and Recreation's headquarters throughout February. The exhibit features more than 65 oil on canvas paintings, also available for purchase. Lear's subjects and styles vary at times, but most paintings possess unified vibrant colors. Rich yellows and oranges permeate, and he credits Henri Matisse as an influence. It's apparent. Currently, Lear said he's still experimenting with different grades of paint and colors.
