Over the course of 2010, some new businesses have popped into Ridgewood and started filling up some vacant storefronts. Although many idle shops remain, new merchants are reporting solid traffic flow since opening. This week, we profiled The Art Spot and Victor's as new businesses enjoying their time in Ridgewood. Respective owners Sue Stoll and Victor Ida specifically came to Ridgewood for the downtown. Others are getting used to new locations—like the Chamber of Commerce—or have decided to reopen, like Happy Tuesday. The chamber is also pushing for a monthly parking meter reprieve to continue the downtown revitalization effort.
