Growl the Weekend Away with Disney’s African Cats

Van Saun Park Hosts Film in the Fall Event

But we figured out a way to make that scenario even better: Make the film Disney’s African Cats and watch it a couple hundred cat-lengths away from the county’s very own mountain lion exhibit. “The movie featuring real orphaned cats ties in with the Bergen County Zoo's orphaned mountain lions” said Joseph Appio, a representative from the Bergen County Executives Office. Meet Legendary Kids' Author Eric Carle

Books, Bytes & Beyond hosts author for book signing

Eric Carle, the beloved creator of timeless illustrated picture books such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, has a special friendship with the owners of Books, Bytes & Beyond in Glen Rock. That's why he’ll make a rare public appearance on Saturday at 11 a.m. to sign his new book, The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse. Weekender: Love In the Air in Glen Rock

"Dinner With Friends" opening at Porch Light Theatre

It's not only the beginning of a great third season at Porch Light Theatre, it’s also a clear case of life imitating art, according to the theater's artistic director. “As many are aware, my partner in Porch Light (Jenn Boles, the theater's managing director) is also my partner in life.  This past summer, Jenn and I got engaged and will be married this May," said Artistic Director Ryan Pifher. "We thought it only appropriate (and fun!) that our season should also somewhat mirror the journey that all relationships take.  This is why our season is aptly named, 'The Season of Love.'" Porch Light Theatre in Glen Rock will open its 2011/12 season with the Pulitzer Prize winning play "Dinner With Friends". Performances are Fridays and Saturdays …
