Counter-claim Granted in Alleged Racial Slur Incident, Report Says

Homeowner says the village worker cursed and verbally harassed him. Now both are facing harassment charges.

A judge found probable cause in a counter-claim filed by Ridgewood homeowner accused of uttering a racial slur at a village sanitation worker in late December, northjersey.com is reporting. On Monday, Patch reported that a village sanitation worker – identified as Wallace Handcock – claimed Eugene Koret, of Alanon Road, called him a ""f------g n----r" while he was picking up refuse in the neighborhood on Dec 26. Glen Rock Judge Russel Teschon found enough probable cause to have a harassment charge filed against Koret, 68. On Tuesday night, Koret's counter-claim was also found to have merit, northjersey.com reported. Melvin, in the "old days", the old dude would drop the N- bomb on the younger, fitter sanitation worker, and the sanitation worker would have knocked him on his ass. And the homeowner would have learned a valuable lesson. I miss those days.   more ›
