'Post-modern Paul Bunyan,' Trunk Rock Bands Playing Hoboken Show

Darrin Bradbury and Big Wilson River will be joined by other local acts at Maxwell's in Hoboken on Saturday night.

Emerging: Big Wilson River Needs Your Vote

Music Fest helps fight lung cancer

Not only do they have a brand new album being released from the Bergen County indie label, Trunk Rock Records, but they're also one of the big names performing this Saturday at the Fresh Air Music Fest in Oakland. The music fest, which is set to take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Oakland Elks Lodge at 33 Ramapo Valley Road, benefits the American Lung Association. The band's lead singer, Emma McLaughlin, says, “It's a really great opportunity to see a wide variety of bands and show support for local music, and all the proceeds go to a charity to fight lung cancer." Tickets cost $10. Other bands on the events roster include The Gay Blades, Love Assassin, Jay Everett…
