Teens use hard alcohol often, because it is compact, easy to hide, often odorless, and the evidence can be disposed of very quickly (and dangerously).
If we had a sensible drinking age, maybe more would stick to beer.

Don't serve your kid? I didn't realize it was everybody else's responsibility to raise your kid.
At least I hope you don't rely on that alone to raise your kid, because at some point or another, your kid will be exposed to those who will serve your kid.

Like many people, I started drinking before I was of legal age and have never once been in a car with a drunk driver. There's a huge difference between breaking the law and breaking the law AND putting others at high risk of injury or death.
If they were actually driving under the influence, then by all means, delay their license for longer than one or two years and teach them a lesson.

I agree that doctors tend to over prescribe medication, but you just seem to be against the idea of medication in general.
What's wrong with better living through chemistry? Why NOT solve ED with a pill if we can? Why not relieve people of the symptoms of depression, allergies, stomach problems, and sickness?

And they really are "tax" dollars, because they could have saved them for another day, thereby lowering the revenue the department would need to have to bring in.

No, just forced to pay for others' weapons, which are then destroyed. If that's what they're going for might as well just flush a pile of money down the toilet or set it on fire.

Still, the money could have been used to offset taxpayer expenses rather than used to literally destroy wealth.
The government used tax money to destroy goods. In what world is this considered productive?

This is only news because they got caught. This happens every weekend in the suburbs and will likely continue to happen for as long as this town exists.
