Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts Film in Ridgewood

Two-day project filmed on Brookside, RHS.

Filming scenes for an upcoming movie, actors Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts appeared in Ridgewood yesterday.

According to a set call sheet, Schreiber and Watts were shooting scenes for a project titled "Homeschooled."

Film crews setup shop at 143 Brookside Ave. Tuesday and Wednesday for most of the day. The Ridgewood High School library was also included in the Wednesday shoot.

Ridgewood police were on-hand to monitor traffic on Brookside, allowing only residents through.

Schreiber, who has appeared in movies such as RKO 281, The Sum of All Fears, and Taking Woodstock, dates Watts, and the couple have two children together. Recently he was nominated for a Tony as best leading actor in the play A View From the Bridge.

Watts (King Kong, The Ring, I Heart Huckabees) costars with Schreiber and Jeremy White.

The project was orchestrated by Mothership Films, Inc. based in New York. Peter Farrelly (There's Something About Mary, Kingpin, Dumb and Dumber) is listed as a producer.

Rumors have circulated on the Internet that Farrelly is producing a star-studded comedy featuring several independent sketches. No news has been reported on the yet to be titled project. "Homeschooled" is directed by Will Graham.

The production crew was required to pay a traffic control fee (for police services) and cleanup deposit, as established in village code.
