Lawsuit Filed in Alleged 'Housewives' Ridgewood Brawl, Report Says

Lawsuit filed by alleged victim names reality television stars, producers.

While criminal charges have been dropped in the alleged Ridgewood brawl involving "Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast members, the saga is set to continue in civil court.

John Karagiorgis, who claimed he was attacked by reality show cast members Joe Gorga as well as Chris and Jacqueline Laurita, filed civil suit against the trio in Bergen County Superior Court Oct. 2, The Record reports.

A slew of criminal charges against both Karagiorgis and the "Housewives" cast, stemming from a March 30 fight at a Ridgewood boutique, were dropped in municipal court last month.

Karagiorgis had claimed in prior statements to the press that the altercation, which was aired as part of the program's most recent season finale, was staged by producers to add drama to the show. The court filing repeats those claims.

According to the report, Karagiorgis seeks damages from the production companies involved in the show, as well as Moxie Salon, where the alleged brawl took place.
