Tapas, Kabob Restaurants Coming to Downtown Ridgewood

"Cravings" and "Kabob on the Cliffs" are soon to open restaurants on the west side of the Ridgewood downtown.

Two storefronts west of the tracks signalled the impending opening of new restaurants this week.

A new tapas bistro going by the name of "Cravings" will replace now-defunct Marcello's at the Station at 8 Wilsey Square. It will be among the very few restaurants serving tapas in Ridgewood when it opens next to Carlo's Bake Shop.

Tapas not your thing? Fear not – further down the strip, at 23 Godwin Avenue, you can try your luck with kabobs. Top-rated Cliffside Park restaurant "Kabob on the Cliff" is soon to open in the village, according to the signage. The space formerly housed delis La Strada Gourmet and MG Grille.
