Herman Parish at the Library

The Friends of the Library in partnership with Books, Bytes and Beyond invite you to a reading and signing with children's author Herman Parish of Amelia Bedelia fame.

Registration and book order forms are available at the Library or you can call 201.670.3970 for additional information.  Only books purchased from Books, Bytes and Beyond for this event will be signed.  Seating is limited.

Herman's aunt Peggy Parish created Amelia Bedelia in 1963, when Herman was in fourth grade.  Now, over 27 million books later, everyone's favorite mixed-up housekeeper is still going strong, as Herman carries on the misadventures of Amelia Bedelia.  Herman has added 27 books to the series, including three bestsellers.

The latest books take a big step back in time, to when Amelia Bedelia was a young girl.  Naturally, she is prone to all kinds of mix-ups.  There is a first time for everything and with young Amelia, that first time is filled with laughter - literally!  Amelia Bedelia's First Library Card is a love letter to reading, libraries, librarians and books.  Exploring the shelves of books, volunteering at the front desk and meeting the librarians is so fun!  But Amelia Bedelia's favorite part is getting her very own library card.
