Ridgewood Named a 'Booming Suburb'

Real estate firm Coldwell Banker says village places seventh on list of booming suburbs in New Jersey.

A Coldwell Banker Real Estate survey finds Ridgewood to be Bergen County's most "booming suburb."

The criteria, according to the real estate company, is based on "year-over-year levels of employment and unemployment percentages" below the national average, good schools, commuting by car, community safety, and business amenities.

Ridgewood scored the biggest 'boom' in Bergen County, scoring a 794.143 out of 1000, good for seventh in the state. The top six were from Morris and Somerset counties. Fair Lawn and Paramus also made the top ten list, which is part of Caldwell Banker's "Best Places to Live" series.
