Glen Rock Superintendent Requests Changes to Polling Places, Report Says

County board of elections has final say over where polling places are located.

Citing concerns over safety and building access, the Glen Rock superintendent is asking that four schools designated as polling places be relocated this fall, according to a recent news report.

The Glen Rock Gazette reports Paula Valenti wrote a letter to the county requesting that the gyms of Central (districts 1, 2), Hamilton (4, 5), MS/HS (6, 7), and Coleman (7) be moved elsewhere.

"There are some fairly significant administrative issues to be dealt with if that's going to take place; not the least of which is, if not schools, then where?" Mayor John van Keuren said, according to the report.

The county board of elections ultimately decides where polling places are located.
