Middle School Administrator to Replace Retiring Willard School Principal

Ridgewood Superintendent announced personnel switch this week.

A middle school principal in Ridgewood will be moving to one of the district’s elementary schools to take over as principal, district Superintendent Daniel Fishbein announced in a letter to parents posted on the school website this week.

In the letter, Fishbein announced that Caroline Hoffman, who is currently serving as the Assistant Principal at George Washington Middle School, will take over as the principal of Willard School starting July 15.

Hoffman will replace current principal Marianne Williams, who will retire at the end of the school year.

The Board of Education approved Hoffman’s appointment at its Monday night meeting, the letter said.

“Caroline’s strong credentials and commitment to educational excellence make her well equipped to lead Willard School as Principal,” Fishbein said in the note to parents.

“I hope you join me in offering your heartfelt congratulations and continuing support to Caroline in her new position.”

The note did not address who would replace Hoffman at the middle school.
