County Salutes RHS Principal Jack Lorenz for S.A.I.L. Program
Lorenz was one of eleven people honored by the Bergen County Division of Disability Services on Friday
Ridgewood High School Principal at its The 13th Annual "Salute to Champions" Friday for his efforts in the disability community.
Lorenz was lauded by top county officials for his work on the , a program that houses special needs students in-house, focusing on providing lessons of independence. S.A.I.L. saves the district money but also offers an integrated curriculum with internships, job training, counseling and a healthy dose of technology.
Dr. Daniel Fishbein attended the ceremony . "Jack is a creative person and out-of-the-box thinker when it comes to programs and kids who need extra support, its been great," he said.

Also in attendance was Councilman Paul Aronsohn, who works closely with the organizers as the chairman of the Ridgewood Community Access Network (CAN). "The S.A.I.L program is a triple win; for the kids, fellow students and the community, it's the right thing to do. Jack has the energy and inovation to make this happen, along with a phenomenal staff who are so dedicated and passionate."
During his acceptance speech, Lorenz, said his S.A.I.L. students are his "heroes."
