Ridgewood-Based Larry Buchwalter is One of Four Regional Business Leaders Elected to Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group’s Board of Directors

The Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group (GPSEG), among the region’s largest and most active networking and professional development organizations, today announced the election of four members to the group’s Board of Directors.

SAGE Insights President Maria Baseggio, Stilwell Enterprises President & CEO Larry Buchwalter, SalesLeader LLC Principal Todd Cohen and FranchiseSource Brands International Regional & Area Developer Tim Titus will serve three-year terms on the group’s twelve-seat board.

“I’m thrilled that Maria, Larry, Todd and Tim have been elected to GPSEG’s Board of Directors.  They are all well-respected professionals in the Philadelphia region who will bring wisdom and energy to our organization’s leadership team,” said GPSEG Chairman Rip Tilden.  “I’m looking forward to working with them to implement innovative strategies for creating value for our members, continuing to strengthen the quality of our programs, and enhancing GPSEG’s contribution to the region’s business community.”

Maria Baseggio
Based in: Blue Bell, Pennsylvania
GPSEG Experience: Three years
Profile: Results-oriented business leader with over 25 years of experience in strategic planning, global solutions management, marketing and sales.

A member of GPSEG since 2010, Baseggio serves as chair of the organization’s Marketing Committee and helps steer efforts to raise awareness of the organization and its members throughout the Philadelphia region.

In her role as President of SAGE Insights, Baseggio helps clients drive growth by strengthening their business strategies, building effective marketing programs and leveraging key alliances and partnerships.  She launched SAGE Insights after a successful career at Unisys, where she served in a variety of roles.  As Senior Director, Global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Solutions Management, Baseggio led a global team responsible for service portfolio expansion and revenue growth for the $600 million business unit.

In addition to her leadership with GPSEG, Baseggio serves on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners’ (NAWBO) Philadelphia chapter.  She chairs Athena PowerLink, which matches local women business owners with a panel of mentors that offer strategic guidance to grow businesses and create jobs.  Baseggio also serves on the governing board of P.E.O., a Philanthropic Educational Organization that provides financial assistance for women pursuing higher education.

Larry Buchwalter
Based in: Ridgewood, New Jersey
GPSEG Experience: Five years
Profile: Versatile business leader and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, business & legal services, electronic & physical security, real estate and apparel.

Buchwalter has been a member of GPSEG since 2008 and has served on the group’s Board of Directors since 2011.  He is active on GPSEG’s CEO Roundtable, Private Equity and Life Sciences subgroups, as well as with GPSEG’s New Jersey North and New Jersey/Princeton chapters.

In addition to serving as President, CEO and principal owner of Stilwell Enterprises since 2007, Buchwalter recently was named Chief Operating Officer at Long Island Radiology Associates.  From 1995 to 2007, he led Nydic Medical Imaging, one of the country’s foremost providers of MRI services with more than $50 million in revenues and 400-plus employees. 

Since 2008, he has been an active member of the Radiology Business Managers Association, serving on the organization’s Board of Directors, Federal Affairs, Payor Relations and By-Law committees.  He also chaired the Steering Committee of the New Jersey Executive Networking Group, which merged with GPSEG (creating GPSEG’s current New Jersey North chapter) in 2010.

Todd Cohen
Based in: Center City Philadelphia
GPSEG Experience: Seven years
Profile: Passionate networker, speaker, presenter and sales culture expert who inspires, advises and builds high-performance sales teams that produce outstanding results.

A GPSEG member since 2007, Todd Cohen currently serves the organization as co-chair of the Sales and Marketing Subgroup and as a member of the Membership Committee.   Throughout his career, he has overseen sales teams that have generated more than $850 million in revenue for Xerox, Gartner Group, Thomson-Reuters, LexisNexis and others.  He is the author of the 2010 book Everyone’s in Sales and a frequent contributor to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Cohen is the immediate Past President of the National Speakers Association’s Philadelphia chapter and the founder of The Innovators Club, a networking organization geared towards encouraging technology and entrepreneurship. 

Tim Titus
Based in: Ringoes, New Jersey
GPSEG Experience: Four years
Profile: Proven and seasoned business leader, manager and strategic thinker with two decades of experience in finance, accounting, insurance and advisory services.

Throughout his four years as a GPSEG member, Titus has served the organization in a range of capacities, including as chair of the New Member Orientation Committee, participant in the Membership Committee and as one of the organization’s mentors/judges at Temple University’s Be Your Own Boss Bowl (BYOBB). 

In his current role as Regional & Area Developer with FranchiseSource Brands International, Titus helps entrepreneurs reach their business ownership dreams and organizations optimize their performance. Titus began his career in public accounting and previously held a number of key leadership roles in HSBC’s insurance division, including Chief Risk Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

In addition to his leadership role with GPSEG, he serves on the Board of Directors of Archway Programs, Homeworks ‘N Camden, the Center School Foundation and the Entrepreneurs Forum of Greater Philadelphia. Titus is also an ambassador with the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
