Competitors From Around Globe Participate In Wheelchair 10K

The Wheelchair 10K is one of the largest integrated races in the country in which runners and wheelchair racers compete alongside each other.

For the past 38 years, people from all over the world make the trip to Ridgewood to participate in one of the country's oldest races.

The Wheelchair 10K took place Memorial Day with competitors lining up at 8 a.m. ready to tackle the challenge.

The Kessler Foundation hosts the race, which is one of the largest integrated races in the country in which runners and those in wheelchairs compete side-by-side.

The foundation is dedicated to the field of disability and rehabilitation research for people with neurological disabilities caused by diseases and injuries of the brain and spinal cord.
