East Coast Burger Opens

Casual burger joint with ice cream parlor introduced its 'hip' self to the Ridgewood public on Monday.

Long-awaited, opened to the public on Monday.

This isn’t your standard fast food burger joint – offerings at 75 Franklin Avenue include the Americana classics like ice cream, shakes, burgers and dogs, but you’ll also find lobster rolls, fresh salads, veggie burgers and more.

The owners tout the concept of a "hip Norman Rockwell" burger joint that focuses on high quality ingredients.

East Coast Burger will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. thru Sunday. Beginning Monday, the joint will open from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Pickup and eat-in options are available.

The eatery was originally scheduled to open in the fall of 2011 but construction hold-ups and problems with the town and permits delayed up the process.
