Report: 'Cake Boss' Bakery Opening Delayed

Buddy Valastro and his crew will be opening slightly later than had originally been anticipated.

Eager fans of the hit TLC show 'Cake Boss' will have to wait just a little bit longer to sample the cakes and treats at Carlo's Bakery, according to a recent report.

Various impacts from Hurricane Sandy have pushed back the opening of the Hoboken-bred bakery's to December, a spokesman for Carlo's told northjersey.com. The bakery had planned to open in late November at the historic "Playhouse" buliding at 12 Wilsey Square in Ridgewood.

Star of the show Buddy Valastro has been familiarizing himself more with Ridgewood -- he stopped by Bookends last week to promote his new Italian cookbook.

"We expect to do very well in Ridgewood," Valastro previously told Patch. "We have some really cool offerings at this new location, like a custom cake bar and a party room for kids to have birthday parties. We're excited about the opportunities."
