 Co-Founder of Leading Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Firm Honored for Tenth Consecutive Year

Glen Rock, NJ, (April 3, 2014) – E. Drew Britcher, a founding partner of Britcher, Leone & Roth, LLC in Glen Rock, N.J., has been named one of the top attorneys in New Jersey for 2014 by New Jersey Super Lawyers magazine. No more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. This marks the tenth consecutive year Britcher has made the list; the third consecutive year he has been named among the state’s Top 10, and the ninth consecutive year he has been named among the Top 100, by New Jersey Super Lawyers, in New Jersey.

 As head of the firm’s trial practice, Britcher has successfully prosecuted and resolved dozens of complex medical, negligence, liability and other personal injury claims. Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney, he has served as either counsel of record or amicus counsel in more than 25 reported decisions of the United State Supreme Court, the New Jersey Supreme Court and Appellate Division.

 Britcher has earned numerous accolades, having received the Distinguished Service Award from the American Association for Justice in 2011, as well as similar awards from the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (2004, 2009). At the age of 28, he received the Professional Achievement Award from the New Jersey Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, after obtaining a million-dollar verdict in his first jury trial. Britcher has also been named one of the 500 Leading Lawyers in America by Lawdragon Magazine and among “Bergen’s Best” by 201 Magazine.

 He is a past-president of the New Jersey Association for Justice, formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America-New Jersey Chapter (ATLA-NJ) and has served as the chairperson of its Amicus and Medical Malpractice Committees for over a decade. Britcher is also a member of the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice.

 Britcher was a founding member of the Board of Trial Lawyers Care, an organization that provides pro bono legal representation to victims and families of victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks. He is also active in development efforts for the Interfaith Food Pantry, the Morris County Youth Shelter and the Jersey Battered Women's Service. He previously was appointed by the Speaker of the General Assembly as a member of the Medical Care Availability Task Force.  Britcher, who helped shape the language of New Jersey’s Patients’ First and Patient Safety Acts, is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall Law School, where he teaches courses in medical malpractice law and litigation.

 He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, as well as before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He earned a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from Rutgers College.  Born and raised in Paramus, Drew now lives in Parsippany, NJ.
