The Wine Seller has produced the “Super Beer XVLII” a mixed case or 6-pack featuring one of Baltimore’s great beers with San Francisco’s own Anchor Steam. Each package contains a combination of Heavy Seas’ Loose Cannon IPA and Anchor Brewing’s Anchor Steam beer, labeled with a pair of bottles going head to head (no pun intended) with football helmets bearing the respective brewery logos.

Heavy Seas, Loose Cannon IPA, Baltimore, MD. Loose Cannon (Heavy Seas flagship beer) wins you over on the first down, with an impressive front line of Simcoe, Palisade, and Centennial hops. Its nose tackles your senses with fragrant grapefruit, herb, and pine aromas. Bitterness is somewhat subdued by the floral quality, but could change by the end of the game. The color is burnished gold, and the mouthfeel is creamy, with a strong malt backfield balances out the triple-hopped beer.

The thick, creamy head, and rich, distinctive flavor will make you scramble for another taste.
