Junior League of Bergen County Hosting Information Session for Prospective Members

The Junior League of Bergen County (JLBC) is now
accepting applications for its Fall Provisional Membership Class. The League
will hold an information session for women interested in joining the

organization on Tuesday, August 13 from 7.30 to 8.30 pm, at the Starbucks located at 193 E. Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ

The JLBC is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism,developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. “What sets the JLBC apart from other groups is the training our members receive in leadership and organizational development, strategic planning,communications, advocacy and fundraising,” said Laura Kelly of Oradell, Chair of the New Member Committee.  “This training gives League members the skills to assess problems and develop solutions, motivate volunteers and create new partnerships in the public and private sectors.”

The
League welcomes applications from women (over age 21) who are residents of
Bergen, Passaic or Hudson counties in New Jersey, or Rockland County, New York,
and who have an interest in voluntarism and a commitment to community service.
