Kevin Michael Walsh Dies at 21

The Glen Rock native was a probationary member of the Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department.

Lifelong resident of Glen Rock Kevin Michael Walsh, 21, died on Feb. 8, according to his obituary.

Walsh, a probationary member of the Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department was an avid sports fan who was employed at the Radiator Store in Saddle Brook.

"My dream is to fix up old cars and have fun while i do it," Walsh wrote on his Facebook profile. He called the decision to join the Glen Rock Fire Department "the best decision that I believe I have made in my life."

"I did not make any new friends when I joined but I did however acquire a new big family, that teaches me new things every time that I see them," he wrote. 

The 2009 GRHS graduate is survived by his parents and two siblings.

On his Facebook profile, Walsh says his aunt, uncle and grandfather were killed in the Lockerbie bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 in 1988, before he was born.

Walsh's funeral mass was held on Feb. 13 at St. Catherine R.C. Church in Glen Rock. The internment is at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
