Ridgewood Native Natalie Corrigan Ungari Dies at Age 35

A successful lawyer and mother of two who grew up in Ridgewood died at the age of 35 on Friday, according to her obituary.

Natalie (Corrigan) Ungari, the beloved wife of Michael Ungari and the mother of two children, Caitlin and Anabelle, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, her obituary stated.

Born in Montreal, Ungari grew up in Ridgewood, graduating from Ridgewood High School in 1996. The daughter of Barbara and William Corrigan, Natalie graduated from Boston College in 2000 and received her law degree from Rutgers University in 2004. She was in-house counsel at Two Trees Management Company, specializing in real estate law. Natalie left the job to start her own firm and to spend more time with her young daughters, according to her obituary.

"Natalie adored the outdoors, especially the beach where she often enjoyed long walks with her family and faithful dog, Logan," her obituary reads. "Even during a cold New England winter, she made it to the shoreline as much as possible."  

She is also survived by a sister, Angela Waugaman, and many other relatives and close friends.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 24 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Church in Westport, Conn. Interment will follow. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd. in Fairfield, CT.

Memorial donations may be made in Natalie’s name to the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) at 55 Kenosia Ave., Danbury, CT 06813 or via www.rarediseases.org.
