Real Housewives Brawl Ends With Blood On The Walls

Two cast members of the Real Housewives of New Jersey are accused of assaulting a man at the grand opening of a Ridgewood business on Saturday.

Update: The cast members accused of beating Karagiorgis have filed counterclaims; a judge ruled there was sufficient probable cause to advance the case. Read the latest update here.

A Paramus man has filed charges against two cast members of the Real Housewives of New Jersey after a sink-throwing brawl left blood on the walls at the Saturday grand opening of a Ridgewood clothing boutique, Patch has learned.

More than 100 guests were at the opening of Real Housewives regular Kim DePaola's Posche 2, including the show's cast and crew, when the drama broke out.

A fight broke out after a guest, identified as Johnny Karagiorgis, 38, of Paramus, allegedly made fun of the autistic son of cast member Jacqueline Laurita and her husband Christopher.

Posche 2 is in the same space that houses Moxie Salon's second location, which is under construction.

Joe Gorga and Albie Manzo came to Christopher Laurita's aid during the confrontation and it led to a brawl between the Housewives men and Karagioris, Dunn said.

"It was a huge brawl. Three of Kim D's clothes racks were destroyed and three of our custom sinks were broken," said Moxie Salon co-owner Jennifer Dunn. "There was blood on the walls."

One of the fight participants threw one of the sinks during the fight, Dunn said. Bravo's cameras were rolling and captured the tumult.

Ridgewood police confirmed a brawl took place Saturday night and said Karagiorgis filed a citizen's complaint alleging that three individuals assaulted him.

Sources tell Patch two of the three named in Karagiorgis's complaint are cast members Gorga and Christopher Laurita. Manzo was not named in the complaint, sources said.

Police said the investigation into the brawl remains active. Ridgewood Municipal Court Judge David Pfund will conduct a probable cause hearing to determine if charges are filed against the alleged aggressors.

"There was a report of a dispute that led to an assault," Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward said. "We cannot confirm or deny it involved any cast members."

Ward declined further comment, but said he was unaware if any cross-complaints had been filed against Karagiorgis or other parties.

Dunn estimated the damage to the sinks and the wall to be more than $15,000. Kim D's clothing damage was also said to have represented tens of thousands in losses.

The Housewives were remorseful the brawl broke out on Saturday night, Dunn said.

"They felt really awful about it. I want people to know they're so much nicer than they're made out to be."

Paul, Crazies haven't "branched out." They've always been there. And, give 'em a TV camera and a TV show, like Real Housewives, and they'll act like idiots when the tally light is on. It's all part of the show. And the worst part are the people that watch this garbage. If they didn't watch, programmers would have to get more creative and crap like Real Housewives wouldn't exist. And look at this thread. 120 posts and counting. OK, I have a handful here, but they're all negative comments. This is the most popular thread on Patch in quite awhile, maybe ever. What does that say about us? What it says is that we're lowest common denominator garbage.

my question would be Why would they bring a young child to an evening opening? with that said........ I do not think anyone said anything about a child unless the child was cutting up and someone could of said why is there a kid here....... cause I might say that too and I love kids........but kids at evening affairs do not mix......

Moxie Twins are to blame, they have been trying everthing to get on tv for the past 5 years and they attached themselves to the NJ Housewifes so they can use them to attract business. They are Drama Queens!! Who want to go to Ridewood now for a nice dinner or walk and have to worry about another fight braking out. Poor Ridgewood, its a shame they allow that garbage,

By the way, Andy Cohen is just as trashy as this trash. He bankrolls just about every move these freaks make.

As far as I'm concerned everyone on RHONJ has no class. They are poor representatives of people from New Jersey and are a total embarrassment to all of us that live in this state. People around the country think we are all like that. Thanks fir being such good roll models.....NOT!!!!!

You are probably right, the ship has sailed. We could still use a moat.
onetiredmomma April 07, 2013 at 03:40 PM
Shame on them for using their autistic child as publicity propaganda!
Prettypinkie April 07, 2013 at 06:39 PM
I can't believe that those scums are trying to use's their Autistic son Nicholas for Publicity Propaganda, like that's just Disgusting and for Jac to say anything to Teresa an her Family as well as Teresa's brother is just wrong. Teresa wouldn't do or say anything like what those 3 Animals has done to one man that's for sure . Now the Animals are trying to get out of it by Lying I hope the cops, Judge can see what all 3 are trying to do and give them something for what they did to 1 man .

Much like was said before RHONJ is a disgrace to this great state and the Italian American community. And while kids of RHONJ are sentenced to life under their influence -- the sooner this classless show is off the air, the better for New Jersey and society. RHONJ cast members are nothing ore than affluent "Gavones", a/k/a "scums", at their very best!!!! Switching gears, the RHONJ women are undergoing some BAD plastic surgery. Kids frolicking at play-doh can do a better job.

It’s stuff like this and having a governor the size of Rhode Island that makes New Jersey great!

You got that right, Ex Rocker. I find it amazing that people are surprised by the trash we have today. We mock people of faith, we push sexuality on children at younger an younger ages, we protect criminals more than law abiding citizens, and we raise kids who need immediate gratification and who are not willing to work hard for many years before getting what was promised to them. No moral code, just moral equivalency -- do whatever makes you feel good at the moment and there should be minimal consequences for bad behavior (unless you are on the wrong side of a progressive cause -- in which case, "off with your head").
Ex Rocker April 09, 2013 at 04:27 PM
Amen Bob. Perfectly said.
Bob Royal April 09, 2013 at 05:27 PM
I notice that Nucky Thompson is always making fun of what people look like. What's up with that, Nucky? Seriously, what does Governor Christie's size have to do with anything? Nucky, please post a picture of yourself so that we all can decide your value as a person.
Phil Brooks April 09, 2013 at 05:55 PM
Well said, Bob. Too bad this thread is heading to end of its natural life as a lot of people who posted here won't see your excellent post.
Bob Royal April 09, 2013 at 06:25 PM
Thanks, Ex Rocker and Phil -- I enjoyed your posts too. Sorry I was late to the party, but I'm glad you two were around to speak the truth.

bookends isn't as great as people try to think. They have an illegal immigrant working half thier signings. i went to the dennis rodman signing and this girl samona with a long blond braid was telling me that she doesnt have a green card but bookends was "NICE" enough to pay her under the table. The whole town is corrupted with this type of filth

That's crazy about John and his wife but I worked for her for 2 months @ chateau allure before I found out she was a pathalogical liar and her and her husband desperately tried to get on the show she got kicked put of the shop she rented because she paid with bounced checks. And also pocketed money that she was supposed to give people benefits and did not John had that coming to him and I'm glad he got it karma is a bitch just saying and penny is due for hers
Ex Rocker April 14, 2013 at 01:17 PM
Tracey, is that the salon that Kim D. brought Therisa to before Kim's fashion show wherre that ugly dude from the dance club pumped her full of info about her sister in law? Another evil tie in with Kim D. I hope now that it's happened to them too, Jackie and Melissa see that set up, and believe that Therisa wasn't to blame. I think they owe her an appology if that's the case. That wanna be Kim must be paid by Bravo to start all the fights. Why the hell else would she keep inviting all these nuts to her openings. She should change the name of her store to "In This Corner..."

How do you know this, and why do you care!
George Murphy December 27, 2013 at 02:24 AM
Thanks, Phil, Bob and Ex-R ~ For at least making sense and trying to stay on task, here! Bottom Line: I couldn't care less why a brawl broke out, nor do I care about its severity, when it comes to making fun of a child with disabilities. I thought we were the new anti-bullying generation.
Elaine December 27, 2013 at 08:22 AM
If you watch this drivel, you deserve what you get.
Phil Brooks December 27, 2013 at 09:44 AM
George, Resurrecting an old thread? Very nice! // You thought we were the new anti-bullying generation? Silly man. We were the ones who bullied and were on the receiving end when we were kids. So, at best, what we're telling our kids is, 'Do as we say, not as we do.'
George Murphy December 27, 2013 at 01:17 PM
The Lord was always admonishing the Temple rulers and elders and he would tell His disciples to, "...do as they say, but not as they do because they do not practice what they preach." In the same breath He would also say, "Let your light shine so that men may see your good works." (Set the example) I was never a big fan of my parents telling us one thing and not doing it themselves. The Lord did not care for hypocrisy, either. In addition, bullying has gone on since Adam and Eve, and it will never cease completely, unfortunately. I am not condoning anything these 'housewives' do, but to make sport of a helpless child is unacceptable!
