Hot Java: Ridgewood Cops Looking for Coffee Pot-Stealing Burglar
Village home was burglarized Saturday, police say.
Cops are investigating a home break-in in Ridgewood over the weekend in which burglars made off with an unusual bounty, village police announced in a release Tuesday.
According to police, a North Van Dien Avenue resident came home Saturday to find that a burglar had broken into the home via a side door.
The only item that the homeowner found missing – a coffee maker.

Cops did not answer questions about how the burglar got into the house, or why the thief might have just taken the appliance, but did say that the matter remains under investigation.
