Man Indicted After Allegedly Spitting Blood on Glen Rock Cops

Man was arrested in the borough in December, report says.

A man facing multiple aggravated assault charges after allegedly spitting blood on Glen Rock police officers while being arrested last year was indicted Tuesday, NorthJersey.com reported.

According to the report, Edward F. Guy, 31, of Wanaque, was a passenger in a minivan that was pulled over on Route 208 in December. Though the driver cooperated, Guy, who was described as “extremely intoxicated,” began yelling at swearing at the officers, the report said.

Cops said Guy, who was bleeding from the mouth, attempted to kick out the windows of a Glen Rock squad car, and spit on arresting officers, the report said. Police say he continued the behavior after being transported to Bergen Regional Medical center, trying to overturn a stretcher and attempting to kick a nurse, the report said.
