NY Resident Arrested on Fake ID Charge, Police Say

Police blotter—May 18 to 22.

Police arrested a New York resident on charges of a fake ID, officials said.

Slater Lawrence, 20, of Katonah, NY, was charged with possession of a false government document. Police got in contact with Lawrence following the return of a missing wallet.

A pedestrian at Van Neste Square turned over a wallet to Ptl. Michael McDermott May 22. Upon checking the wallet for the owner's identity, police said McDermott found a fraudulent Delaware driver's license. Police determined Lawrence to be the wallet's owner and contacted him.
