Police: Pedestrian Struck Early Friday Morning in Mac Murphy's Parking Lot, Driver Fled

Police searching for driver of dark-colored four-door sedan.

Police are investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian strike in the parking lot of when the bar let out early Friday at around 2:00 a.m.

Detective Chris McDowell said a male victim was struck by a dark-colored four-door sedan and the vehicle fled the scene. The victim suffered an ankle injury and was transported to Valley Hospital, McDowell said. The investigation continues, according to police.

The RPD charged three drivers in pedestrian strikes last week, including two at the same intersection.

A nurse crossing the street of Maple to Walton Place Christopher Royer, aged 43, police say. Later in the week, 80-year-old resident of Glen Rock, while making a left turn onto Walton. 

Adrienne T. Kukula, 47 of Ridgewood, was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian in an accident police say led to a 14-year-old boy being struck. The boy's injuries were not considered life-threatening, police say.

The village council has said police presence has increased in an effort to reduce such incidences from occurring.
