Ridgewood police flooded the Central Business District at around 3:15 p.m. to assist Allendale and Ramsey detectives nab two suspected car burglars, according to Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward.

Ward told Patch Wednesday that the two suspects had been chased by the neighboring municipalities into the Ridgewood downtown. One suspect was nabbed near the post office by the neighboring forces, he reported, adding that Ridgewood PD got a description of the other suspect and followed the individual toward the train station.

Unfortunately, Ward reported, that individual eluded police and remains at large. The suspect caught by the post office was taken into custody in Ridgewood, Ward said. He could not provide further information, citing an active investigation.
