Rock Road Shut Down Sunday Night as Firefighters Investigated Smoke
No injuries in late night incident
Rock Road between Main Street and Glen Avenue was shut down for about an hour last night as Glen Rock emergency responders investigated smoke coming from the roof of a business complex.
The event capped a wild weekend for the , which responded to a deluge of calls related to small fires, carbon monoxide alarms, and a vehicle rollover Sunday morning.
Just before 10 p.m. Sunday night sped down Rock Road and shut down traffic, which was light following a borough-enforced curfew for minors.

Multiple fire trucks and police patrol vehicles arrived on these scene. In the parking lot behind the building, emergency responders shined flashlights at a heating apparatus, which showed minimal signs of fire damage.
An officer was let into the front door of by an employee just after 10 p.m. Sunday and Glen Rock Volunteer Firefighters entered the main entrance of the Galleria on the corner of Glen Avenue to gain roof access to the building, according to fire officials.

Firefighters were lifted to the roof of the building via a bucket truck parked on Rock Road in front of Sasha.
Fire Chief Tom Jennings said that there were no injuries and no damage to the building. A faulty heating apparatus had most likely caused the incident, he said.
Firefighters had been on , from about 1 p.m. Saturday — when the snow began to accumulate on branches, which fell — until Sunday night, Jennings said.
Jennings called the volume of calls received by the department this weekend "crazy," adding that it wasn't the norm. He praised his firefighters for their work this weekend.
Councilman Mike O'Hagan, who showed up on the scene and spoke with emergency responders Sunday night, was similarly impressed and lauded the borough's bravest.
"The job that the fire department, ambulance, [and police department] do is amazing," he said.
