Teenager Flips SUV on Route 208, Sustains Minor Injuries

Traffic was shut down for about a half an hour Thursday after the 7 p.m. accident

A teenager suffered minor injuries after flipping her SUV on Route 208 on Thursday night and snarled traffic on the busy road.

The female teen driver — who was alone at the time of the accident — told police she was heading down Route 208 South when she began to feel vibrations in the steering wheel of her Ford Explorer. The teen told police at the scene that she then lost control of the SUV, which careened into the center divider near De Boer Drive and pitched onto its roof just before 7 p.m.

Southbound traffic on the county road ground to a halt as emergency crews investigated and cleared the accident, shuttering traffic for over a half hour.
