Leaf Collection Gets Underway in Glen Rock

It’s that time of year again.

The Glen Rock DPW began curbside leaf collection this week, which will continue through the end of the year.

The borough began with district 1 on Wednesday, and will attempt to get through one each of its seven districts per day, cycling through them in numerical order.

The schedule, however, depends on the size of the curbside piles, which often speed or slow the pace of collection.

Only leaves and biodegradable bags are part of the collection. The borough warns that other yard waste and plastic bags can damage equipment. Officials also ask that piles be located at least ten feet from storm drains.
