Lobbyist the Keynote Speaker at Ridgewood League of Women Voters Luncheon

Sandra Matsen will be discussing how to get legislation passed in Trenton and offering her opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of lobbyists.

A registered lobbyist will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Ridgewood League of Women Voters fall luncheon, according to a press release sent by the organization Monday.

Sandra Matsen, of The League of Women Voters, will discuss the realities of getting legislation passed in Trenton and how citizens can best make a difference. She'll also discuss the strengths and weaknesses of lobbyists, according to the press release. There will also be a portion of the lunch dedicated to public questions on the 2012 ballot.

The lunch will be held at the Old Paramus Reformed Church on Oct. 3 from 12-2 p.m. The event costs $25. Registration can be made by making out a check to Linda McNamara at 575 Knickerbocker Road, Ridgewood, NJ 07450. A respnose should be submitted by Sept. 28.
