Ridgewood head athletic trainer Nick Nicholaides and RHS students will be fetured on an episode of Katie' Couric's daytime talk show, weighing in on whether kids should play contact sports. discussing the safety of kids playing contact sports with Katie Couric's, and the episode airs Friday.

Nicholaides recently produced a video on the dangers of concussions. Several recent Ridgewood High School grads speak on the impact concussions had on their performance.

It ties nicely with the discussion question on ABC's "Katie," airing at 3 p.m. – should kids play contact sports?

According to the show's website, "Katie sits down with expert Dr. Robert Cantu to find out how hard kids are getting hit, learn how to recognize the signs of a concussion, and tackle the question: Is it safe for kids to play contact sports?"
