Underage Drinking, Drug Use Discussion Thursday Night

Ridgewood Municipal Alliance Crisis Counselor Kevin Feeley will facilitate discussion March 29 at Christ Church.

A group focused on reducing the usage and dangers of teen drinking and substance abuse will be holding another public forum Thursday night.

The Ridgewood Municipal Alliance (RMA), founded as a partnership of citizens and officials within the village and school district, will be hosting a discussion for parents at at 7 p.m. At "Parent 2 Parent 2," Crisis Intervention Counselor Kevin Feeley will facilitate the dialogue.

The RMA encourages small group discussion to develop better strategies to quell instances of dangerous behavior, according to statements made by its leadership.

Speakers at the first forum, held last fall – after a – spoke of creating a list whereby parents pledge they'll keep their homes alcohol and drug free. The plan has gained some traction, Municipal Alliance members have reported at various government meetings
