Glen Rock Native Has NFL Dreams

He spent $225 on a lottery ticket. But it could pay off.

Talented Bridgewood State defensive tackle and 2009 Glen Rock High School graduate Paul Melicharek is working out at the New York Jets practice facility in Florham Park looking to make an NFL roster, according to a report on northjersey.com.

He worked out as a fullback and long snapper after paying the entry fee, according to the report.

In his senior season, Melicharek tallied 47 tackles (38 solo), 18 tackles for loss, 6 ½ sacks and a forced fumble. The 9-2 Bears made the playoffs for the first time since 2001.

Melicharek finished his Bridgewater State career as an honorable mention Division IIII All-American.
