Hall of Famer Coaches Ridgewood Travel Soccer Team

Former professional soccer player Jeff Agoos stopped by Ridgewood last Friday to coach a U-8 Maroons travel soccer team.

The dedicated coaches of the U-8 Maroons travel soccer team humbly stepped aside for a legend – former MLS star Jeff Agoos took over as coach during practice last Friday, giving the kids a memory they won't soon forget.

Agoos, known in his playing days as a stout defenseman, was a five-time MLS champion and was inducted into the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame. He played in two World Cups and represented the U.S. in the Olympics during his impressive career.

Agoos now keeps busy as the director of soccer for the NY Red Bulls and as the technical director of competition for MLS.
