Maroons Race to Third Place Finishes
Cross country teams grab third place finishes in Group 4 meet
The Ridgewood boys and girls cross country teams garnered third place finishes in the Group 4 team scores on Nov. 12 at Holmdel Park.
The Ridgewood girls cross country team beat out Hunterdon Central, 141 to 157 for third place in the Group 4 meet. The Lady Maroons just missed grabbing second place against Randolph, 127 to 141.
Ridgewood senior Caroline Davidson led the way for the Lady Maroons harriers with a 21st place finish and a flat 20 minutes on the Holmdel courts. Just seven seconds behind Davidson was sophomore Emily Fishbein with a time of 20:07 and a 25th place finish. The senior-sophomore combo of Hanako Shigenobu and Laura Weisberger placed 29th and 30th, respectively, with times of 20:14 and 20:10.

Boys Cross Country
The Ridgewood harriers beat out Freehold for third place to the tune of 152-162 with the help of a pair of seniors who were in the top 30 of the Group 4 runners.
The senior duo of Travis Spicer and Levi Jennings came in 27th and 28th place respectively with identical times of 16:53. The Maroons top underclassman, junior Nick Salamone, was not far behind Spicer and Jennings, in 36th place with a time of 17:06.
