Noah Pounds Named Boys Lacrosse Player of the Year

Senior led Ridgewood to consecutive Group 3 championships.

All-American lacrosse goalie Noah Pounds has been named the North Jersey lacrosse player of the year by The Record.

The Naval Academy-bound senior led Ridgewood to back-to-back Group 3 championships, making the semifinals of the Tournament of Champions twice.

Pounds, a four-year starter, gave up only 5.56 goals per game this year enroute to being named an All American for the second consecutive year.

"It was all about the people around me on my team because they made it possible for me to be successful," Pounds told The Record. "I don’t mind the spotlight. But I would rather the spotlight be on my team."
