Duck Derby, Discussion on Parking Meters This Week

There are concerts, council meetings, movie nights and duck derbys this week.

Glen Rock school trustees will meet Monday night to discuss the middle school assistant principal vacancy. Superintendent Paula Valenti will present the end of year HIB self-assessment report and the SAGE counseling end of year report.

On Tuesday, Bobby Byrne will belt out Broadway classics for the Kasschau Shell concert series in Ridgewood. The event starts up at 8:30 p.m.

The Ridgewood Village Council will meet on Wednesday for a public meeting at 8 p.m. On the agenda is issues with compliance related to the lightning detection system, a discussion of three-hour parking meters, and billing issues with Ridgewood Water.

Critically acclaimed flick Batman: The Dark Knight will be shown in Van Neste for the Ridgewood Guild's "movies in the park" series beginning at 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Graydon Pool is the site of the "Great Ridgewood Duck Derby" on Sunday. Billed as an initiative to promote outdoor fun and family time, there will be musical groups, a sand sculpture contest, beach games and more. The event runs from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
